What are you doing with God’s Anointing? This is what I hear the voice of God saying to the body lately. I’ve been moved in my teachings and in my study time to motivate people to get moving with what they are supposed to be doing. So often, gifted people are put down, fenced in, caged up, placed on a shelf, misused and hurt to the point of not fully being able to relinquish the power within them. I know what that’s like. I too have at times suffered at the hands of Christians…that’s probably the most difficult thing about it. I’ve been wondering, how many other people there are out there who have a true calling and anointing to do something, but no outlet in which to do it. Am I talking to you?
Well I have a few things to say about that. The first thing is this: ALL MEN are Human First! Whether it’s your family, your Pastor, your mentor, a friend or someone else in the church, we are all human and subject to fail. Our responsibility in this is to constantly forgive and move on. Don’t allow our anger to be a hindrance to you.
The next thing is have to say is this: There is no man that holds the key to your future…unless you give it to them! God is your source. The sooner you realize that, the better off you will be. Respect those that are in authority over you, however remember, you and your anointing are subject to God.
Key number three I have for you is this: Don’t believe the HYPE! Move with discernment..if you don’t have it, ask God for some!! It’s important to be able to discern who (or maybe I should say what) is feeding you. In God, you can have confidence while others around you are good at what they do as well. The world will tell you that you have to be THE BEST. God will tell you to do YOUR BEST! Everyone can be God’s favorite. God desires to bless and prosper all of his children. Envy and jealousy are useless in the Kingdom of God – serve them an eviction notice!
Key number four: Use your gifts! God has gifted all of His children, and His word says that your gifts will make room for you and bring you before great men. Your gifts operate like a muscle – they grow and become strong. Ultimately – if used correctly – your gifts will put you on a platform custom made for you – crafted by God Himself. I know many of you are saying “My church won’t let me…My Pastor won’t let me…My friends/family will say…” Your gift is not about where you go to church; it is about the ministry you are called to. I’m a writer…and I write these articles in order to use my gift! What do you need to do to use yours? Create your own opportunity. Can you sing – throw a talent show, or a “sing off” – volunteer to sing for entertainment somewhere – a nursing home or a hospital. Think out of the box – because God isn’t in your box…He’s “OUT THERE” with the people of the world!
I encourage you – don’t give up. Don’t put your faith in man. Don’t look for a man to elevate you…look to God and walk in His Plan. When you walk in God’s plan for your life, He has an obligation to fund it and see it through! Don’t box up the anointing in you – Loose it! Let it be free!
