Chuck DayNashville, TN - October 7, 2010 - Multi-award winning songwriter Chuck Day has hit his stride with recognition as a performer to be reckoned with, as proven by the audience connectivity of his latest single, "I'll Stand Up And Say So"  (NewStep Records) --hitting a nerve with American listeners at a time when "God & Country" patriotism is high in the national consciousness.

With the single moving to the Top 10 in October in the Hot 100 listings of Christian Voice Magazine, Day's unique chuck_day_elevenpositioning as a "cross bridge" between inspirational country and the mainstream country music market is reaching ever widening audiences.  His latest mainstream country album, "Eleven," now available on iTunes, is a blend of great songs from the pen of Chuck Day with the added bonus of duet guestings by the familiar voices of Linda Davis and James Payne adding to the musical mix.

No stranger to industry awards, Chuck Day has a current tour schedule that includes an October 10-14th visit to Nashville to present at the 2010 IGMA Awards at Trinity Music Village. He'll be in West Plains, Missouri on November 5-6th to both perform and present at the 54th Annual ICGMA Convention and Awards.

Day is recognized as one of today's leading writers in the unique niche of the Christian Country/Country Gospel genre.  He's written nine #1 songs to date-including "Midnight Cry" written with his brother Greg which was a triple crown winner as "Christian Song of The Year," "Song of the Decade," and among the Top 20 Christian Songs of the Century in a sweep of industry honors. He's written major hits for name artists including Bob Carlisle, Gold City, The Hoppers, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Michael English and Clay Crosse.

As a performer, he's been equally blessed. The International Country Gospel Music Association has recognized him as Entertainer of the Year, with Songwriter and Male Vocalist Awards added to honors. In 2000, he was inducted into ICGMA's prestigious Hall of Fame. Bill Gaither's Homecoming Specials have to date brought him the additional accolade of two RIAA Gold Video Awards.

Growing up in southern gospel with his family performing as The Days, Chuck later toured with several of the top name southern gospel music groups, as well as hitting the road with country artists such as Freddy Fender and Marty Haggard.  His influences across the gospel and country spectrum include the "greats"--Merle Haggard, Rusty Goodman, Ray Price, Vern Gosdin, and George Jones.

Chuck DayWith doctorate degrees in both Theology and Divinity, Chuck is an ordained minister who has found a unique way of adding chords and lyrics and the country "feel" to the ever relevant Gospel message.  Not surprising that in his travels nationally and internationally, his music does more than just entertain-it touches lives.

With the release of "Eleven," Chuck Day promises to increase his reach to a new world of listeners -showing both the roots of his raising in southern gospel and his heritage as an authentic country boy.  Much like the two genres, he proves the relationship between the gospel and country music is next of kin.
