NASHVILLE, Tennessee— Listen up Moms and Dads! Yancy is offering up her Christmas album, HAVE A FANCY YANCY CHRISTMAS, with some special offers exclusively through her website at yancynotnancy.com. For the latest deals and exclusive offers, visit the website or follow Yancy on Twitter at @yancynotnancy.
Originally released in 2009 by Pure Blue Records and Word Distribution, the 10-song set was produced by Stephen Leiweke (Chris Sligh, Cindy Morgan) and features Yancy’s cheerful arrangements of both classic and original Christmas selections, including such favorites as “Wonderful Christmastime,” “The First Noel” and “Joy To The World,” as well as the Yancy-penned “Merry Christmas, Happy Christmas” and “Christmastime.”
“I love Christmas,” says Yancy. “As I was driving yesterday, seeing decorations, maneuvering through traffic, processing why this is my favorite time of year, I realized how cool it is that the whole world stops what they are doing to join in the celebration of Christmas. All the hustle and bustle, all the fuss, is in honor of our King. Jesus was born to us to be the Savior of the world. We are so blessed.”
In support of the album, Yancy is performing a handful of “Fancy Yancy Christmas Concerts” in select markets this month, including Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Hampton, VA and Bowling Green, KY. Yancy maintains a full-time tour schedule including conferences and conventions throughout the USA, and she’s also the featured artist on the 2010-2011 SuperStart! Tour.
“What a fun time this is to celebrate His birth and God’s amazing love for HIs children,” says Yancy. “I’m so excited to head out on my Christmas tour this weekend and invite others to join in the singalong fun and be reminded of what this season is really all about.”
Yancy released her latest album, STARS, GUITARS AND MEGAPHONE DREAMS, last month to rave reviews from Christian media outlets and Mommy Bloggers, further cementing her as one of the premiere family-friendly artists in Christian music. Combining praise and worship with her unique pop/rock sensibilities, Yancy’s music appeals to kids and young adults without alienating their parents.
With a decade under her belt, and countless credits to her name, Yancy has proven herself to be one of Christian music’s most versatile performers. She has released radio friendly pop/rock albums and multiple projects for kids and young adults, all while sharing the stage with such artists as Mute Math, Newsboys, 4Him and Nichole Nordeman. As a writer, Yancy has teamed up with Third Day’s Mac Powell, wrote Avalon’s #1 hit “I Don’t Want To Go” and Jaci Velasquez’s “Something Beautiful,” and still found the time to compose two devotional books for worship leaders and musicians and a devotional book for pre-teens.
