Nashville, Tenn. (March 21, 2011) - Jordan Elias recently stopped by the 2011 National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention in Nashville, Tenn. in support of the new Galilee of the Nations project, Best of Messianic Praise & Worship, Volume Three, which debuted March 1, 2011.
The emerging singer/songwriter appears on the CD alongside some of the world's best known Messianic recording artists, including Joel Chernoff, Karen Davis and Ted Pearce.Elias also took the time to talk with media about his own critically-acclaimed debut CD, Desert Cry. Gospelmusicchannel.com named the project one of last summer's Top 10 Rock releases on a list that included offerings from both Christian and mainstream artists such as Newsboys, John Mellencamp, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Future of Forestry, The Choir, Chris August and Ed Kowalczyk (former lead singer of multi-Platinum mainstream band, Live). Desert Cry has even caught the ear of contemporary Christian music pioneer Melody Green, who commented that Elias's song "Tickle My Ears Gospel" sounded like a song that her husband, the late Christian artist Keith Green, would have sung.

About Jordan Elias and Desert Cry:
"When Keith Green's widow Melody is a fan, chances are an artist is moving in the right direction," says gospelmusicchannel.com's Andy Argyrakis of Elias. "Add in the fact that Jordan Elias' grandfather is renowned Motown producer Jerry Marcellino, while his father, Yochanan, founded numerous Christian labels, and it's a surefire bet this singer/songwriter has more than just an inbred retro rock n' worship yearning — he has a divine calling as well."
Co-produced by Jerry Marcellino (Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross & The Supremes) and Yochanan Marcellino (John Waller, Paul Wilbur, Joel Chernoff), the music of Desert Cry is a refreshingly organic combination of '70s Soul, Gospel and thundering Jesus Rock. Elias delivers a one-two musical punch of raw, bare-knuckles rock 'n' roll guitars wrapped around thick, meaty melodies followed up by moments of sweetly nuanced, intimate piano-based worship ballads. Elias' fresh, unvarnished sound supports a message that is as old as the Bible itself.
