West Michigan Drive-time Radio Personality Joins Tulip Time Festival Finale
Perry LaHaie and friends at Michigan's Tulip Time Festival Parade

Nashville, Tenn. (June 15, 2011) - Moody Radio morning drive-time radio personality Perry LaHaie recently participated in the popular Muziekparade, which is part of the Holland Tulip Time Festival in Holland, Mich., an event drawing more than 10,000 guests.

The historic parade, which began before World War II, is the finale to the eight-day Holland Tulip Time Festival, which celebrates the Dutch culture dominant in western Michigan.

LaHaie and radio co-host Scott Curtis of the popular "Perry and Scott in the Morning" on 89.3 FM, joined local and national marching bands, floats, giant helium parade balloons, horses, Dutch Dancers and more on the 2.4-mile, two-hour long route.

"Being in the parade and receiving so many smiles and 'shout outs' to Moody Radio was such a surreal and cool experience for me," says LaHaie. "One of our family's long-time dreams has been to live in West Michigan and for me to host a radio show here. God reminded me of that as I made my way along the parade route and all I could think was 'Thank you God!'"
