President/CEO Skip Prichard Raves About Current Works From Both Artists
John Waller and David Teems at ICRS (400)
Nashville, Tenn. (July 25, 2011) - Popular recording artist John Waller and author/musician David Teems realized they shared a fan when their paths crossed with the head of Ingram Content Group, David "Skip" Prichard, at the recent International Christian Retail Show (ICRS) in Atlanta.
Teems, who enjoyed a successful book signing event at the Ingram Spring Arbor exhibit booth, was chatting between signings with Waller, at the show with his latest CD, when Prichard stopped by the booth. Following a round of introductions, the three realized their mutual respect for one another, with the Ingram president and CEO acknowledging his personal admiration for the works of both Teems and Waller.
"Majestie captured my attention from the first chapter," Prichard says of Teems' current project. "Filled with historical research, author David Teems brings King James to life in a vivid and memorable way. Teems weaves details and events together, making you feel you traveled through time and met King James personally. With a 2011 release timed for the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, I believe this will be a remarkable book this year and one that endures for many to come."
Waller happily presented Prichard with an autographed copy of his new CD after learning of the Ingram executive's appreciation of Waller's music through the years.
"John Waller's new album, As For Me and My House, is filled with powerful lyrics and melodies that stay with you throughout the day," Prichard comments. "Waller's music captures his passion and his devotion to God, and his heart is on full display in this release. This album is a natural extension of his previous work, and is one that you will be replaying and worshiping along with him over and over."
ICRS, featuring approximately 300 exhibits, brings together more than 5,000 attendees and exhibitors from the United States and more than 50 countries. The most recent show was held July 10-13 at the Georgia World Congress Center.

About David Teems:
Author and musician David Teems's new King James bio, Majestie: The King Behind the King James Bible, is at the center of Thomas Nelson's 400th anniversary celebration of the release of the King James Bible. Majestie is earning accolades from reviewers, including Publishers Weekly, who calls it "...engrossing and entertaining...a delightful read in every way" and Jim Cantelon, co-host of Canada's longest running daily talk show, "100 Huntley Street," who calls Majestie "...one of the best written books I've ever read. It's a page turner."
In his intriguing new biography, Teems employs a storyteller's eye for detail to explore the life and legacy of James Stuart, better known as James I, King of England. Teems wrote the book after becoming intrigued with this quirky and yet magnificent British monarch, who commissioned the popular English-language version of the world's most influential book.
King James, it turns out, was a study in contradiction. Intellectually astute, he could be as ribald as he was eloquent. He showed flashes of brilliant leadership, but wallowed in petty differences. He could be dazzling, charming and polished, or coarse, vulgar and petulant. In short, Teems unveils James I of England as an all-too-flawed human being in need of redemption. And yet James and only James could have given us the great Bible that he did.
Majestie is available through Thomas Nelson Publishers. For more information about David Teems and Majestie, visit davidteems.com or thomasnelson.com.
About John Waller:
John Waller's music has been heard by millions, touching lives all over the world. From his early days fronting the critically acclaimed band According to John to his impactful ministry as a solo artist, Waller has continually used his gifts as a singer and songwriter to inspire, educate and encourage the body of Christ with such powerful songs as "While I'm Waiting," the theme song of "Fireproof," the No. 1 independent film of 2008.
Waller's third album, As For Me and My House, boldly proclaims the Word of God in song, with a Joshua 24:15 declaration to this generation.
"Hiding God's Word in my heart has impacted every area of my life since I began memorizing scripture in my early college days. What has been stored away in my heart just comes out of me when I write," says the artist. "When people memorize scripture and sing the truth of God's Word, it changes their lives forever."
As For Me and My House received a robust welcome from fans and industry veterans when the CD was released May 3 through Provident-Integrity Distribution. The critically-acclaimed CD, the first project for Waller since signing with Nashville-based City of Peace Media, debuted at No. 4 on iTunes Christian Gospel Chart and claimed the No. 26 spot on SoundScan's Christian Adult Contemporary and Christian/Gospel Current Digital Albums charts.
