Project Inspired Seeks to Educate, Inform and Inspire Young Women

Los Angeles, CA – With the goal of helping to guide teenage girls in achieving their maximum potential, ProjectInspired.com has launched in the hopes of being a strong voice and positive influence in the lives of young women.

Every day in the news, we are inundated with stories of bullying, addiction, failed relationships and dangerous trends. Lies are being told to girls about issues such as body image, sexual experimentation and how to determine self-worth. Created by successful model Nicole Weider, Project Inspired seeks to provide wisdom, truth and honest answers to a generation of young women who are at a pivotal age in their development.

Nicole has lived what was considered the “dream” in Hollywood. While her career was blossoming as a rising star and sought-after as a model, Nicole realized this success could not bring happiness or fulfillment.

“I created Project Inspired to show young girls what it means to be a person of value and confidence,” says Nicole. “I know that everything I saw, everything I went through in my career was for a bigger purpose. I hope that through sharing my story, I can inspire young girls to lead a more meaningful life.”

Nicole started posting her spiritual awakening to her thousands of fans on Facebook. The response was so positive that she quickly recognized the opportunity to reach and inspire even more people, especially teen girls who are starved for positive Hollywood role models. Through this, the Project Inspired brand was born.

Nicole’s truthful, unbiased opinions and unprecedented access gives the girls the feeling of having a big sister they are able to confide in. Her experience of having lived the life of a Hollywood starlet gives her the unique perspective, platform and voice to help guide teens.

Another primary focus of Project Inspired is to battle against the voices that are telling our teen girls that they need to abuse their bodies, dress more provocatively, and behave immorally.

No topic is off limits to the Project Inspired readers. Many girls have approached the site, asking questions they may be ashamed or afraid to ask their parents or other adults in their lives. Project Inspired has enlisted a team of trusted women who are prepared to give Godly and Biblically sound answers to virtually any topic or issue. This variety of unique and wise voices combines with content generated by readers who submit articles as well as inspiring messages and photos.

Topics on the site include: Culture Shock (the shocking truth about lies told in our media and by the ‘role models’ who influence our culture), The Christian Secret (the secret to keeping your life on the right path is a relationship with Jesus), Real Beauty (the pages that celebrate a woman’s natural beauty, and encourage a healthy lifestyle), Relationships (the key to building strong, lasting relationships, including friends, family, dating) and My Passions (the people, and products that promote positive values).

The Anti-Cosmo campaign, created earlier this year, will be a main focus on the site for 2012. Readers have a call to action to stand up against Cosmopolitan magazine, requesting the magazine be sold in a plastic-wrapped bag due to its immoral and inappropriate content. This campaign has already received the attention of the Secretary of the Commission of the FTC. Readers continue to support Nicole’s Change.org petition, (http://tinyurl.com/projectinspired), as well as committing to write monthly letters to the editor, advertisers and the FTC asking that Cosmopolitan be responsible for not only the magazine’s content, but the age and maturity of their potential readership.

This summer, Project Inspired boldly challenged girls to send in photos for their Me Without Makeup campaign. Thousands of girls responded, sending photos with short descriptions of what they like about themselves. This project has inspired a grassroots dialogue on the social media sites about women’s dependence on make-up, and how society has a double standard on what is beautiful.

ProjectInspired.com was created with Mind Over Media, L.L.C., a full-service, cross-platform content development and media packaging company.
