Scanlan Hosts New Episode, Promotes Dueling Pianos CD
Nashville, Tenn. (April 12, 2012) - Teresa Scanlan, Miss America 2012, is scheduled to appear on the nation's longest running national Christian music video show, JCTV's Real Videos, at 11:30 p.m. EDT/8:30 p.m. PDT today and 2:30 p.m. EDT/11:30 a.m. PDT Friday. Scanlan, who is featured as the episode's host, is on the show promoting her debut CD, Dueling Pianos, which she recorded with composer Calvin Jones.
"Teresa fit all the stereotypes that you would expect from Miss America," says Mark McCallie, producer of Real Videos. "She had both beauty and brains, with a great personality to boot. But Teresa also had a deep spiritual side that radiated from her. She did a great job hosting this episode of Real Videos."
The Real Videos crew shot the episode on location in College Grove, Tenn., at Hatcher Family Dairy, where Scanlan exchanged her Miss America evening gown for farmhand duds as she did chores around the barn.
"I was so thrilled to host an episode of JCTV's Real Videos, especially out on the Hatcher Family Dairy farm!" says Scanlan. "It was an incredible opportunity to be able to portray to the public the importance of agriculture in America today. Growing up in a small town in western Nebraska, I know what rural farm life is like and how essential it is to our economy, our food and fiber supply, and truly life as we know it here in America."
Real Videos airs weekly on JCTV, an affiliate of TBN. JCTV, broadcast in more than 800 cities, is a Christian youth television network aimed at the 13-30 age group. The network's programming includes music videos with positive messages, issue-driven talk shows, action sports programming that highlights athletes who are making a difference, live events, concerts and more. JCTV's mission is to be a light by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. To watch a live stream, go to jctv.org or tune into your local television station (jctv.org/updates).
