NASHVILLE, Tenn.—In celebration of today’s release of Hymns for the Christian Life, the critically-acclaimed fourth stateside recording from preeminent Irish modern hymn writers and recording artists Keith & Kristyn Getty, the couple is in the spotlight this week with major national media coverage and multiple high-profile appearances.
 
Keith & Kristyn Getty's "A Mother's Prayer" is featured in this week's USA Today "The Playlist," alongside selections from such artists as Dwight Yoakam, Charlie Peacock and Iris DeMent, among others. The couple is also the subject of key feature stories this month in both CCM and Worship Leader magazines. In addition, Keith & Kristyn Getty will discuss Hymns for the Christian Life on today’s “In The Market with Janet Parshall,” which is heard nationally on the Moody Broadcasting Network, and they will appear on Friday’s “The Frank Pastore Show” on Los Angeles’ KKLA Radio.
 
Featured at this week’s National Worship Leader Conference in San Diego, Keith & Kristyn Getty are among a line-up of award-winning worship leaders spotlighted at the event, including Kari Jobe, Brenton Brown and William McDowell. The conference, presented by Worship Leader magazine, was founded in 2007 to meet the musical, theological, and media training needs of those who bring the services of worship to their congregations on a weekly basis.
 
The album’s debut single, “Christ Is Risen, He Is Risen Indeed,” co-written by Keith & Kristyn Getty and Ed Cash, is currently going for adds at Inspirational Radio.
 
Hymns for the Christian Life was produced by Charlie Peacock (The Civil Wars, Switchfoot) and Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe) and explores such themes as work, family, money, community and social action, showcasing Irish melodies as well as American bluegrass and country music influences. The album is highlighted by a special 10th anniversary recording of “In Christ Alone.” Co-penned by Keith Getty and Stuart Townend, the new arrangement of the internationally renowned song features 27-time GRAMMY® Award-winner Alison Krauss. Additionally, bluegrass icon Ricky Skaggs joins the couple on “Simple Living (A Rich Young Man),” while Clannad’s Moya Brennan is featured on “A Mother’s Prayer.”
 
Keith & Kristyn Getty are among the preeminent modern hymn composers of this generation. Writers of an acclaimed repertoire of 21st century hymns revered both for their theologically astute lyrics and universally beloved melodies, the couple’s popular U.S. recordings include In Christ Alone, Awaken The Dawn and Joy – An Irish Christmas.
