(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) -- iShine KNECT, the first television series specifically created for pre-teens and their families, has been nominated for two CableFAX Awards, which will be presented on September 25th at the Yale Club in New York City. The show was nominated for "Best Show or Series - Children’s" and "Best Show or Series - Family Friendly," facing off against programming from The Hub Network, National Geographic Channel, Smithsonian Channel, Yes Network, UP and Sprout.
Earlier this summer, the show (and production partner TBN) was also nominated for four coveted Crown Awards: “Best Youth Film,” “Best Comedy,” “Best Television Format” and “Best Series,” winning the Bronze award in the latter category. The awards are presented annually by International Christian Visual Media (ICVM), recognizing the best in films and videos that reflect Christian values to a secular world.
iShine KNECT follows a group of talented and often overly dramatic teenagers attending iShine Academy - a special private school just for talented kids, full of raw potential and ridiculously quirky habits. Each half-hour episode of the high-energy sitcom is filled with wacky humor and clean family fun, starring popular iShine artists The Rubyz, Mission Six, Caroline Grace (of PureNRG), plus Jamie Grace and more. Shot in hi-def digital format, the groundbreaking series continues to provide a relevant and insightful view of a modern Christian tween-agers life.
Season 4 is now airing each Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET on TBN, JCTV and Smile of a Child. Seasons 1, 2 and 3 are airing in syndication on NRB Network, Daystar, Cornerstone, JCTV, Smile of Child, Legacy TV, KCFT-TV (Anchorage, AK), Miracle Network (Canada), iShine Southern Starz (South Africa), TV Visjon Norge (Norway/Sweden/Denmark/Finland) and all TBN international affiliates. Additionally, the first three seasons are available on Amazon.com.
Season 5 is currently in production and will premiere in February on TBN.
