Just Karima is Karima's first solo album since her debut with gospel group Virtue and is the album that has been on the lips of fans around the world since it was announced earlier this year. Karima is a founding member of the Grammy, Dove & Stellar Award nominated group Virtue, who began their career in 1997 signed to Verity with a self-titled album. This sister trio has weathered many storms including going from a quartet to a trio.

Premiering 11 new hits, Just Karimaincludes the album's recently released lead single, "So Happy" which has received critical acclaim and success for its soul-stirring, smooth sound and pristine vocals. Shot by noted director Damian Marcano, who has created videos for J Moss and 2103, the video for "So Happy" will debut in October. Other tracks on Just Karima include the heart capturing "Just To Know", "Closer", "Forecast" and "Love of a Lifetime".

With assistance from producers Styalz Fuego, Terrell King, Debra Killings, Sean "Santana" Cooper and Rodney East, Karima weaves her love for God in a faith-fueled gospel sound that combines a tuneful blend of R&B, pop, soul, jazz and more.

Growing up in New Orleans, LA, Karima was born into a family that had many talented singers. Her mother (who raised all 6 of her children alone) taught them the foundations of a Godly life and admonished them to use their voices for the glory of God. With the success of their group Virtue, Karima was hesitant to step out as a solo artist, but she has taken a leap of faith and will blaze a trail for others to create their own path of writing and performing music that would attract a legion of fans and change the face of Gospel music forever.

With a phenomenal career that has spanned more than 10 years, Karima has become a successful gospel artist in the business, and will continue to set a new path for the future of gospel.
