Nashville, TN -- March 10, 2010 - After spending the last few months doing mission work and in the studio recording a new album, Bread of Stone will now change their energy to touring.
Following the fall tour with the newsboys, the band visited their homeland, Indonesia, to work with Pastor Yehezkiel, whose church is called Gereja Allah Baik (direct translation - Good God Church). "We went to Indonesia with the idea of ministering to the people who are in need, but we were the ones who were humbled by what we experienced there," said lead singer, Ben Kristijanto. "These pemulung (scavengers) clearly have no earthly possessions, but they have the one thing that most of us have neglected - Jesus Christ."
Immediately following the mission trip, Kristijanto traveled to Nashville to begin working in the studio with well known producer Tedd T (MuteMath, tobymac, David Crowder Band, Rebecca St. James) and Lynn Nichols (delirious?, ZOEgirl) on their third project, "Saturate," which is scheduled to release in the next few months.
Bread of Stone will take a break from the studio to begin touring on the "Alive Tour" with Superchick and John Reuben. The tour scheduled to begin in April will travel to cities including Minneapolis, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Omaha.
Bread of Stone consists of Ben Kristijanto (lead vocals, guitar, keys), Bill Kristijanto (lead guitar), Tim Barnes (bass) and Krislyn Woolley (drums). For more info, including tour dates, music and video clips, please visit http://www.BreadOfStone.com.
