Mr. Watkins - Atlanta
Mr. Watkins is a musical genius of his time. Originally from Yellow Springs, Ohio; Mr. Watkins began his musical career, at the age of 12, by deejaying for local school events and parties. Eventually his phenomenal skills landed him featured deejaying spots, 91.3 FM WYSO, 106.9 FM WWSU and 88.9 FM WCSU in Ohio. Compelled to live out his dream, Mr. Watkins moved to Atlanta and earned his degree in Music Entertainment Management from The Art Institute of Atlanta.
Following graduation he interned for Universal Records building ties with some of today's top black movers and shakers. Since then Mr. Watkins climb has been a steady rise toward the top. He has successfully produced projects for renowned companies like Macy?s and Cross Colors. However, Mr. Watkins talents had not reached their highest level until they reached the spiritual level. In 1999, he gave his life to Jesus Christ. Then, commanded by the Holy Spirit, Mr. Watkins created the hottest Holy Hip-Hop series rightfully entitled THE HOTTNESS which is currently in its 10th volume and his new series entitled AS HEARD ON RADIO which is currently in it's 3rd volume.
His creativity has been requested by many local and national Gospel artists who include Canton Jones, Corey Red & Precise, Ziklag Boys, Platinum Souls and have shared the stage with artist such as J. Moss, Kierra KiKi Sheard and countless others. He also produced 3 songs on Pastor Byron L. Broussard?s project entitled First Love. With the sky as the limit, Mr. Watkins has traveled across the U.S. with the hit play City Shakers, City Takers. Now he travels as the official deejay of Stellar Award Winning Gospel Artist Deitrick Hadden.
As the deejay of the former Crunk 4 Christ Show (Hot 107.9), he was naturally selected to move to The Spirit of Hip-Hop (Hot 107.9) where he can be heard Sundays from 6am-11am and also on Praise 97.5 Coco Brother Live Mon-Fri 7pm-10pm.
