mission_six_featured_on_fusemix.com_as_the_artist_of_the_week-_christain_music.jpgWith an intense degree of contagious energy, MISSION SIX is preparing to release their debut albumSuperhero, which will be in stores July 29th. The album was produced by Kevan Cyka & Dan Needham, who together are responsible for hit records from the likes of Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, JUMP5, Everlife and many more. Ranging from ages 12-14, the boys of MISSION SIX are bringing their youthful energy to the Christian pop/rock scene, where they will surely appeal to fans of the Jonas Brothers, Everlife, PureNRG, Family Force Five and others. There is little doubt that MISSION SIX is proving themselves to be one of 2008’s breakout bands!

MISSION SIX quickly caught the attention of Radio Disney, where the band has been featured in recent months on the Radio Disney Incubator. Promotional efforts are planned on the network through the summer, and multiple music videos have been filmed for release this summer and fall. Averaging over 150 concert dates each year, the boys will join the 2008 Shoutfest Tour this fall, before teaming with The Rubyz for the 80-city iShine Tour.

“The first time I saw them play live, I thought ‘no way, they can’t be that good at that age!’” says producer Kevan Cyka. “But they were. This band is the real deal.”

The five young “super-musicians” that make up MISSION SIX reside in the small town of Evansville, Indiana. Noah (lead vocals, guitar), Issac (vocals, keys), Michael (vocals, bass), David (drums) and Anthony (lead guitar) are quick to point out that while there are only five band members, they have each decided to put God first in their lives, making him the official sixth member of the band. “There is so much happening in the world right now that takes our direction away from the most important basic things in life,” says Noah. “We want to help our generation regroup and enjoy life with fun music and simple energy.”

Superhero is filled with songs created to inspire and encourage their generation with songs like “Better Me,” which encourages kids to wait patiently and follow the path that God has set out for them, and “Tomorrow,” which reminds people that this day and the next are already taken care of.

“What a breath of fresh air!” says Sara Ross of the Hollywood Records group Everlife. “It just gives you that sensation of ‘feels good!’”

Superhero will be released by BEMA Media through Infinity Music Distribution on July 29, 2008. BEMA Media is a new label venture founded by Tom Johnson with industry veterans Don Koch and Kevan Cyka.
